Linux Mint

When I messed up my upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 I made the decision to wipe the system over winter break. And rather than reinstall Ubuntu, I decided to try something new. I've decided to go with Mint. I know that this isn't that ridiculous of a change, since Mint is a derivative of Ubuntu, but I'll try it anyway. One of the things that I want to figure out this time is how to streamline the process of getting a system setup. I had a particular setup that I wanted to use for school. I wanted to use the setup a couple of different places, but found it annoying to figure out how to do it each time, and remember everything I needed. A lot of it boils down to a custom Eclipse install, but there are a few other things there, like my local web server setup.

My goal with this page is to chronicle how that goes and my irritations with and praise for Mint.
