7th Grade Sneak

When I was in the 7th grade, I had a friend taking drama and it sounded amazing. I decided it would be better than the journalism class I originally signed up for. I found out it would be offered 6th hour, which was when I had my math class. Fortunately I also discovered that my math class would be starting a new section for 2nd hour and some of my classmates were getting moved to that class.

And so I adjusted my schedule. Except I didn’t ask anyone’s permission, I just started showing up for different classes. My teachers were concerned that I wasn’t showing up on their rolls, but I was adamant that this is where I was supposed to be. After a few weeks, I was called down to the front office to account for my truancy. I explained which classes I was actually in and they fixed the ‘mistake’ in the computer. I don’t remember what I was thinking. I don’t think I was trying to be sneaky or subversive; I figured out a solution to my problem on my own and didn’t see the need to involve anyone else.
